Designed for RS-485 digital bus communication, this cable combines power transmission with high-speed data pairs. Low capacitance ensures reliable communication for long strings of in-place inclinometers (IPIs).

Detailed Description

Optimized for RS-485

Digital sensors require specific impedance matching. This cable is manufactured with a 120-ohm characteristic impedance on the data pair to prevent signal reflections.

Voltage Drop Compensation

Long chains of IPI sensors can suffer from voltage drop. We use thicker 18AWG conductors for the power lines to ensure the last sensor in a 200m string receives adequate voltage.

Armored Protection

For embedment in dams or tunnels, we offer a steel-wire braid armored version. This prevents crushing damage from high static pressures.

Easy Stripping

Field technicians appreciate the rip-cord and non-bonded jacket, allowing for fast stripping and termination without damaging the inner conductors.
