Wireless bi-axial tilt sensor node with integrated high-precision MEMS technology for structural health monitoring.
The Geolook Tiltmeter Node (BEAM-TM) is a fully integrated wireless solution for monitoring structural rotation and deflection. Unlike other nodes that require external sensors, this device houses a high-precision bi-axial MEMS inclinometer module directly inside its rugged enclosure. Calibrated to rigorous standards, the BEAM-TM measures tilt in two orthogonal axes (A and B) with exceptional stability. Its "zero-cabling" design makes it the ultimate choice for rapid deployment on heritage buildings, rail tracks, and bridge piers where running wires is either impossible or aesthetically prohibited.

The BEAM-TM simplifies structural monitoring by eliminating the separation between 'Sensor' and 'Node'. The MEMS chip is securely mounted inside the wireless unit itself.
This means installation is as simple as bolting the bracket to the wall, leveling the device, and turning it on. No wires to cut, no glands to tighten, and no external sensor boxes to protect.
In railway projects, safety is paramount. The BEAM-TM is widely used to monitor 'Cant' (super-elevation) and 'Twist' on tracks affected by nearby tunneling.
Because it requires no cables, teams can install hundreds of units along a rail corridor during short engineering hours (possessions) without disrupting train operations.
At the heart of the node is a high-performance Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) accelerometer. Unlike older electrolytic sensors, MEMS technology offers superior long-term stability and resistance to thermal drift.
The module is professionally calibrated to ensure that even minute rotations—imperceptible to the human eye—are detected and transmitted to the cloud instantly.
When digging deep basements in cities, neighbouring buildings are at risk of settlement and tilting. The BEAM-TM provides a non-intrusive way to monitor these structures.
If a building tilts beyond a safe threshold (e.g., 1/500 ratio), the Geolook system can trigger immediate SMS or email alarms to the project safety manager.
